Erste Tag! (First day!)

Waking up at 4:30 am and arriving at my new home 28 hours later, showering hasn't felt so refreshing in quite a while.

I didn't have a seatbelt for the cross-Atlantic flight, but I didn't say anything because I actually would have rather sat there with someone I semi-know.

I slept for the first time on an airplane too. It was a good flight.

I met all these cool Americans on the way that are going to be in my same club this next year, I can't wait for the first meeting!

At the airport in Berlin (the last of my 3 flights) was some of my first host family  waiting to meet me. Here's them.
Left to right is: Christoph (Host Dad), Almut (Host Sister), me ,  and Giulia (Brazillian exchange student who just lived with my new host family.)

That's not the whole family, but that is who was at the airport and it was pretty great to be met with smiles and hugs.

  2. Hi Adrian,
I'm a CS student at UOregon, interested in learning German (I've taken a couple years--one in HS (SEHS), one in college).
Your dad gave me this blog address because I asked in particular about German music, but I'm also interested in other aspects of German culture.
I hope you don't mind sharing your blog with me sometimes (if you do mind, just let me know and I won't read it. also, there are probably options to make things friends-only, or something).
Also if you don't mind, may I try to practice my German skills here sometimes?
    Thank you and have fun!
